Instructed by resident chef Marietta Menghi (Umberto’s sister), with some courses also taught by Umberto Menghi and other regional chefs, the Villa Delia cooking school offers a unique and unforgettable experience of the tastes and life of Tuscany. Cooking school packages are available in single and group bookings, and typically consist of 9 nights of deluxe accommodations, 10 days of unforgettable food (including continental breakfasts, lunches, and dinners), afternoon excursions to local cities, cultural centres, wine producers, and olive oil tastings, in addition to our signature classes.
What can you learn to cook at the cooking school?
With hands-on lessons on food preparation and cooking, the Villa Delia cooking school specializes in pasta, Tuscan bread making, cucina povera (local food), and rustic Tuscan cuisine.
What is the cooking school experience at Villa Delia like?
With a cooking school package, our mornings often begin with a cooking class led by one of our renowned chefs, with the meal prepared during the class served as that day’s lunch. In the afternoon, we will enjoy excursions to places such as Florence, Siena, Lucca, San Gimignano, Chianti Region and other areas, as well as visits to local markets, cultural centres, wine producers, and olive oil tastings.
